Heirloom. Tepary beans are among the most drought and heat tolerant crops in the world! Thought to have been originally domesticated in the Southwest by the Hohokam Indians. The Sacaton variety is currently cultivated by the Pima Indian Tribe, along the Gila River, near Sacaton, Arizona. They have evolved to mature quickly following monsoonal summer rains in the Southwest. Seeds and pods are smaller than common beans and they have great nutritional value. 80 days. Grown by Pueblo Seed. Certified organic.
