A rare heirloom pole bean from Montezuma County, Colorado. Brought by homesteaders to the Four Corners region, which is now commonly referred to as the “pinto bean capital of the world”. Described by old-timers as drought tolerant, fast maturing and stringless if picked young. Pods have lovely purple streaking and dried beans are light brown and mauve with dark purple and black speckles and stripes. Plant after danger of frost, 6” spacing.
