Heirloom. A landrace from the uplands of Northern New Mexico. Fast maturing and traditionally used as flakes, powder, ristras, and for red chile sauce. It's thin skin enables it to dry quickly and consequently does not lend as well to roasting. Deep rich and bright color and flavor and medium spice (~5000 Scovilles). Start plants 6-8 weeks before planting date. Plant spacing 14”. 75 days from transplants. Grown by Pueblo Seed. Certified organic.
